Value of a Great Memory

It's possible that one solution for several of your everyday challenges is a great memory.

Have you ever thought about how valuable it is to have a great memory?

Many of us take our memory for granted. But ask anyone who has suffered a brain injury or short or long-term memory problems what they go through on a daily basis and you'll realize just how blessed you are to have a memory that works most of the time.

Consider this – is a memory that works some of the time or most of the time good enough for you? Don't you want the very best that you could have in life with the minimal amount of effort? How does your memory play into this?

A less than optimal memory can be the root of some of your daily challenges

Think of all the ways that memory loss affects you and your family. Here are some examples,

  • a bill didn't get paid on time because you forgot, and now you have late charges added; or worse yet, a major utility company turned off the electric or gas
  • your father forgot to take his diabetes medication and now he's in a diabetic stupor needing medical attention from paramedics
  • while driving, your teenage son forgot to turn on the turn signal and look over his shoulder and got rear-ended
  • your friend forgot to set her alarm for your breakfast appointment. You waited so long for him that you were late for work.
  • the report your boss wanted that you forgot to do didn't make it to his desk in time and he's calling you inept
  • you've visited your friend several times but can't recall how to get to his house
  • your daughter forgot important items for her camping trip with the scouts and they're waiting for you to drop everything to bring them to her
  • a major ingredient didn't get added to the dinner or dessert recipe and the food is inedible
  • you forgot to lay out your clothes before bed last night and this morning in the dark you grabbed a tie that didn't quite match your suit, on a day when photos were scheduled for work
  • your son forgot to put the car keys where they belong and can't remember where he put them; meanwhile, you're running late for an appointment
  • a notice comes in the mail from the library about $25 for overdue books someone forgot to return
  • you walk down every aisle in the grocery store and can't seem to recall what it was that you're supposed to pick up
  • you get up from your couch to go to your bedroom to get a personal item and then promptly forget what it was when you get to the bedroom

The list can go on and on, and you probably see how a less than optimal memory costs you money, wastes precious time, and makes relationships more difficult.

If you're looking for an easy way to create more time during the day, think of how much time would be freed up when none of the items above on the list happen. Would you gain an extra five hours a week, 10 or 15? What would you do with all the extra time?

A great memory reduces your stress level

Each of us needs a good memory to make life go a lot smoother but having an excellent memory is like adding frosting to a cake.

When your memory is excellent, you live in "the flow" of good energy. Your day goes smoothly. You remember to do everything right on time – bills, projects at work, scheduled appointments. Your mind is alert to where you parked your car, where you left your keys, where you placed important documents, and what's on your schedule.

You remember the important things in your circle of friends and family's lives. Meeting someone from work not seen for several months gives you no worries about your ability to recall their name, face and everything since you saw them last.

Social occasions where you have to meet dozens of new people are exciting, not threatening. And remembering all the new policies, products and people at work is so simple that you can focus all your time on actually completing projects without mentally torturing yourself about forgetting things!

Million Dollar Memory for Names & Faces is what you need to get your life back on track, from a memory perspective. In it, you'll find mental techniques that address almost every type of daily activity that are easily forgotten – and you'll get immediate results after putting them into practice.

I Did It! Success in Remembering Names!

"I went to an event this past weekend that involved about 20 people, and guess what?  I remembered all but two names!!  One person in attendance was surprised I remembered her name, stating that 'people tend to only remember my name when I have on a name tag.'

Big improvement from before!  In the past, I forgot a name before I even walked away from the individual. I'm impressed."

—Rolanda Reed, Sacramento, CA
