About Our Crime Expert

Crime information content in Million Dollar Memory for Names & Faces is the result from research and interviews with Detective Sergeant George Wick. His 20–year assignment to the detective division involved working on major crimes as crime scene technician, detective and supervisor at a sheriff's office in the Chicago area with a staff of over 400. He's investigated kidnappings, shootings, stabbings, murders, suicides, child and sexual abuse, and missing persons to burglaries, identity theft, bank embezzlement, computer crimes and domestic and foreign terrorism.

Detective Sergeant Wick has received numerous awards for his investigative work and is known as an expert in several areas. He's also trained law enforcement personnel in advanced criminal investigative techniques on the federal, state, county and local level and was the commander of a 40–man SWAT team.

Detective Sergeant Wick frequently gives presentations to various fraternal, school, civil, church and community groups on personal safety and crime prevention. Since the printing of Million Dollar Memory for Names & Faces, he has retired but still spends the majority of his time training school personnel on emergency readiness and disaster preparedness.
